About AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017:

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 stands for Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam Pharmacy which is conducted annually by Annamalai University (in Tamil Nadu) for admission of students into B. Pharma, M. Pharma, D. Pharma and Pharma-D courses.

 Every year thousands of students appear for this test and those who qualify the test succeed in getting admission into the university.

Candidates can fill the AU AMIEE Pharmacy Application form from first week of May 2017. The candidates must check their AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 Eligibility Criteria before applying. The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination and must be an Indian National. AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 Exam will be conducted in offline mode and will have 240 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

The candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the exam. The exam will be held in the month of June 2017. Candidates can download AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 Admit Card in online mode from the official website. AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 Results will be declared in the first week of July 2017.

Eligibility

Before applying for the examination, it is advisable to go through the eligibility criteria of the test. Only those candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 should apply for the test. In case any candidate fails to fulfil the criteria, his/her application will get rejected.

The eligibility criteria for AU AIMEE 2017 for different programmes are explained below:

B. Pharm

The candidate must be a citizen of India to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

He/ She must be of 17 years on or before 31st December 2017 to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

The candidate must have passed in all the subjects in class 10th and 12th with minimum eligibility marks.

The mandatory subjects are a group of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subject to fulfill the elgigbility criteria.

The minimum eligibility marks required in class 12th are as follows:

For OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC candidates- the minimum eligibility is of 35%marks individually in all subjects and an aggregate of minimum 40% marks.

For SC / SCA / ST candidates- the minimum elgibility is of 35%marks individually in all subjects and an aggregate of minimum 35% marks.

A minimum of 35% marks in English is the eligibility condition.

Candidates who belong to Tamil Nadu and have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from Tamil Nadu can apply without providing the "Nativity Certificate" to satisfy the eligibility condition.

However, Nativity Certificate is mandatory in the case of candidates who have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu to cover-up the eligibility criteria.

Candidates, whose parents are employees of Central Government can apply without any nativity certificate, provided their parents or guardians (if neither parent is alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu for the past 5 years at the time of application submission.

Candidates who have studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu but belong to other states can also apply without enclosing the "Nativity Certificate" to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Children of employees in Public Sector or Government recognized Institutions who have been employed in Tamil Nadu for the past five years at the time of the submission of application can also apply, regardless of their domicile.

B. Pharm (Lateral Entry)

The candidate must be a citizen of India to cover-up the eligibility condition.

He/ She must be of 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2017 to satisfy the eligibility condition.

The candidate must be a diploma holder in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) from Annamalai University or an equivalent recognized university.

The candidate must have secured an aggregate of minimum 50% marks in first and second year examinations of D. Pharm.

Foreign nationals are eligible to apply, provided they should be registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).

D. Pharm

The candidate must be a citizen of India yo cover-up the eligibility condition.

The candidate must be of 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2017.

Foreign nationals are eligible to apply, provided they should be registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).

The candidate must have passed class12th with Physics and Chemistry, along with Biology (or) Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics.

Candidates with a B.Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics are also eligible.

M. Pharm


Must have a degree from Annamalai University or an equivalent university in B. Pharm with minimum 50% marks.

Belonging to SC/SCA/ST category can only have passing marks in B. Pharm course to satisfy the eligibility condition.

Must be of 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2017 to cover-up the eligibility condition.

Must have passed class 12th with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology or Botany and Zoology as optional.

Those candidates who have qualified D. Pharm from a Pharmacy Council of India approved institution are also eligible.

Those candidates who belong to other states (apart from Tamil Nadu) can apply under open competition, which means they will be given privilege only after the seats get filled by the Tamil Nadu candidates.

Mode of application

Application Procedure for AU AIMEE:

The application procedure for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2017 is as mentioned below:

Application form from the Cash Counter:

  • Go to the cash counter of the administrative office of Annamalai University and ask for the application form
  • Fill in all the details correctly.
  • Once the details are filled, send the completed application form via post to the concerned authority.

Application form by Post:

  • The candidates are requested to send a letter  to Annamalai University requesting for an application form along with a DD for Rs. 300.
  • Don't forget to mention your full name and complete address on a plain sheet of paper along with the letter.
  • Once you receive the application form, fill in all the details correctly.
  • Send the duly filled form by post to the University.

Candidates are requested to follow the below steps for application process:

  • Go to the official website of the university.
  • Register for yourself by providing your valid email ID and choosing your password.
  • Pay the application fee by any mode that suits you.
  • Provide all the mandatory information on the application form correctly.
  • Click on the 'View' button to see the final form and make any changes if required.
  • Take a print out of the application form and send it to the below address: The Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar – 608 002, Cuddalore District, TamilNadu.

Please Note:

  • The candidates will have to send the complete application form along with other requested documents and certificates via Speed Post/ Registered Post with stamps affixed.
  • In case the fee has been paid via offline procedure , then the DD or Bank Challan will also have to be included in the envelope.
  • Don't forget to mention your name on the envelope.
