About YCMOU:
The Yashwant Rao Chavan Maharashtra Open University MBA Entrance Exam is popularly referred to as YCMOU-MBA. Candidates willing to pursue an MBA degree from the same university need to mandatorily apply for this entrance examination.
YCMOU is located in Nashik and offers several distance education and part-time courses in the fields of management, arts, commerce, and education. The University had been set up to promote a diversified yet efficient study culture to students looking to pursue varied interests.
The university also maintains an active Facebook page for latest updates and notifications from time to time. The YCMOU MBA entrance exam conducted by the same university will take place on 7th August.

The Aims of MBA Programme:
To help managers to become more effective decision makers in their spheres by updating skills of management and knowledge
To enable budding managers to develop skills of logical thinking, critical analysis and creative imagination

Duration of MBA:
Minimum Duration: 2 years
Maximum Duration: 5 years
Minimum attendance- 50 per cent compulsory for counseling sessions

The medium of instruction and examination is English only
The program comprises 20 courses plus a project work that span over 4 semesters in a couple of academic years

Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for YCMOU MBA 2017:

Candidates considered eligible for the YCMOU-MBA entrance exam will need to be-

University graduates with a recognized bachelor’s degree in any stream with 45 per cent marks is the eligibility condition for YCMOU MBA.
The university recognizes quotas for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes and physically handicapped candidates. For all such candidates, the eligible cut-off marks for application is set at 40 per cent.
The eligibility criteria for YCMOU MBA also requires candidates to be proficient in English.
Passed the 12th Class Examination from the Central or State Board as the eligibility condition for YCMOU
Percentage obtained in bachelor’s degree is calculated on the basis of conversion schemes followed by the concerned university/institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion would depend on the equivalent certificate awarded by the concerned university/institution and that score can be used to satisfy YCMOU eligibility.
The candidate has to be an Indian Citizen to satisfy the eligibility criteria for YCMOU.

Mode of application
Application Process for YCMOU MBA 2017:

The application process for the YCMOU-MBA 2017 takes place online.
There is a separate window that flashes on the website of YCMOU MBA.
The window opens with a single click via Apply Online.
The candidate will have to fill in all relevant details of personal and academic information for YCMOU.
A password will be created and then the candidate will have to save the same before proceeding.
Once this step is completed, the candidate will be given a login ID and Registration Number on scree for YCMOU.
The same will also be emailed to the provided email address of the candidate. The same must be saved for future reference.
The candidate will have to make sure that he/she fills in the eligibility criteria correctly.
Once this is verified, the validation of the Centre needs to be done. The center will be displayed the first post which the candidate can edit the same.
All documents will have to be uploaded in JPG or JPEG formats for YCMOU

Payment of fee for YCMOU MBA:
The fee for the application form for YCMOU stands at INR 500. Post-filling in and submission of the form, the candidate will need to use the Login ID and password to access his/her account. Herein the payment options will be found as well. The students can use-

Option to pay at the MKCL Centre
For the last option, a receipt printout needs to be taken and the same must be paid with the fees at a MKCL fee collection center.
