Exam Description:

An overview on IBPS RRB 2017:

  • Candidates who aspire to join any of the Regional Rural Banks as Group A Officers (Scale- I, II & III) and Group “B”- Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will have to register themselves for the Common Recruitment Process (CWE for RRBs).
  • For the Posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) 
  • The examination will be conducted in two tiers i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases – Preliminary and Mains Exam.
  • Candidates who apply for the post of Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.
  • For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination will have to appear for Main examination. Subsequently, candidates shortlisted through Mains Examination will be called for Interview.
  • Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Officers Scale III
  • Candidates who apply for Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Officers Scale III will appear for a single online examination.
  • Candidates qualifying the Single Online Examination will be called for the Common Interview.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB:

  • Migrated Peoples from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • All students should check their education criteria for IBPS RRB CWE before applying for the post. Education Qualification criteria are different for each post.
  • The required education qualification should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 30-09-2017.
  • Eligibility for IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post: Participant must have Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.
  • Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Post: Degree in any discipline. Preferred degree criteria Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
  • Proficiency in local language.
  • Computer Knowledge.
  • Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer) Post: Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Preferred degree criteria – Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
  • Required Experience – Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
  • Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale II (Specialist Officers) Post:
  • Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) – Must have Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
  • Required Experience: One year.
  • Chartered Accountant – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Required Experience: One year.
  • Law Officer – Degree in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Required Experience: Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period, not less than two years.
  • Treasury Manager – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance from a recognised university/ institution. 
  • Required Experience: One year.
  • Marketing Officer – MBA in Marketing from a recognised university.
  • Required Experience: One year.
  • Agricultural Officer – Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Required Experience: Two years.
  • Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale III Post: Degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference Criteria having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
  • Required Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
  • IBPS RRB Age Criteria: All aspirants required checking their age limit for IBPS RRB for all category posts. Age Criteria is different for all posts. Age will be calculated as on 01-09-2018.
  • Officer Scale I = 18 – 30 Years (DOB between 03 09 1987 to 30-08-1999)
  • Officer Scale II = 21 – 32 Years (DOB between 03 09 1985 to 30-08-1996)
  • Officer Scale III = 21 – 40 Years (DOB between 03-09-1977 to 30-08-1996)
  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose) = 18 – 28 Years (DOB between 02-09-1989 to 01-09-1999)
