About OJEE 2017:

Commonly referred to as the OJEE, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination is a popular test that candidates aspiring to study engineering at the graduation level in Odisha can take. The state colleges have a number of seats for B.Tech in a number of engineering disciplines. The seats used to be filled as per the performance of candidates taking the JEE Mains. However, since 2015, the state introduced OJEE for candidates willing to take admissions into the colleges in Odisha. The OJEE exam will be held in the month of May 2017.

You must note that no other entrance examination will be held by any authority for admission to B.Tech in the Odisha state colleges.

Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for OJEE 2017:

Candidates willing to apply for OJEE 2017 must have the following qualifications:

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination of Odisha Board or CHSE with Physics and Maths as main subjects are allowed to apply as it is set as the eligibility criteria by the head of OJEE.
The candidate must also have studied one of the subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Electronics, IT, Computer Science, Geology, Statistics to fulfil the eligibility criteria of OJEE.
The candidate must be an Indian national to satisfy the eligibility criteria of OJEE
Candidates must have scored at least 45 per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination
The University has reserved quotas for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes and physically handicapped candidates. For such candidates, the aggregate marks required at the graduate level qualifying exam is 40 per cent.
The candidate need not fulfil any minimum age criterion to qualify the eligibility criteria for taking OJEE.

Application process for OJEE 2017:

Documents required for OJEE:.

All the candidates who have covered-up the eligibility criteria should have certain documents ready with them before they fill-in the online Application form for OJEE 2017. An Applicant should have scanned copies of:
  • Passport size Photograph of the candidate
  • Full signature of the candidate
  • Left Thumb impression of the candidate
  • Specifications for the documents are indicated below

Step by Step Process:Once the candidate has fulfilled the eligibility criteria to apply for OJEE 2017, he/she can access the online form on the official website www.ojee.nic.in for notifications about the form availability. The form release date will be around the first week of February 2017The candidate who has satisfied the eligibility criteria need to Create Account with a Login name, date of birth online.Post this step, a password and ID will be emailed to you on your registered email ID. Make sure to keep your contact details handy.The candidate who has covered-up the eligibility conditions should select the course name they are willing to take admission into.The candidate has to fill the form online using the code key give on the website page.Once you are done with filling in the basic details and academic details, submit the form.The candidate who has satisfied the eligibility condition should upload their digital signature, left thumb impression and color passport photograph inline.  The sizes must rage between 5 and 50 KB only.Deposit the fee for registration next and take a copy of the payment page confirmation for future use.

Payment of fees for OJEE application form:

  • The fee for the application to OJEE 2017 is INR 1000 for all candidates who have satisfied the eligibility criteria.
  • Those who have covered the eligibility criteria and filled in the application form online will have to pay the fees via any online mode of payment.
  • This includes net banking, debit card or credit card.
  • For those who are willing to apply offline, download the e-challan and deposit the same with cash at any State Bank of India, Canara Bank or Bank of Baroda branch.
  • Take a print out of the confirmed payment online, two days after paying the challan.
  • The payment can be made until 5 pm during the span of form availability.
