About MHT CET:

The government of Maharashtra conducts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MH-CET, annually, for screening candidates who are seeking admission into the courses for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Health Sciences across colleges in the State of Maharashtra.
The institutions that are part of the MH-CET umbrella include government-aided schools as well as some private schools.
The applications for the same will open by March 2017 and all detailed information about the test may be found herewith.

Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2017:

Eligibility for candidates appearing for MHT CET health science degree:

  • Age eligibility criteria: Candidates need to be born on or after 31st December 2000. For Ayurved and Unani courses candidates need to be born on or before 1st October 2000 to be eligible for MHT CET.
  • Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A medical certificate in this regard should be submitted for the candidate to be eligible.
  • Candidates need to pass the 12th final exam with physics, chemistry, biology, English as subjects to be eligible for MHT CET.
Eligibility for candidates appearing for MHT CET engineering, pharmacy:

  • There is no age limit specified for candidates to be eligible to appear for MHT CET engineering.
  • Candidates must be citizens of India to be eligible for MHT CET.
  • Candidates are required to have passed the 12th exam from any board to be eligible for MHT CET.
  • Candidates need to have a 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, biology to be eligible.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible.

Mode of application
Application process for MHT CET 2017:

  • Candidates interested in applying for the MHT CET 2017 exam for admission to the course will have to access the application form online at www.mhcet2016.co.in.
  • The application form will be available on the website.
  • Click on New Registration.
  • For online registration, the candidate must provide a valid email address and contact number so that passwords and login details might communicated on a timely basis.
  • The candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in other details on the form.
  • Click on Save and Proceed to open the page for personal details. Herein, you will have to enter all personal details, contact details as well as choose the password for logging in. A security question too has to be chosen.  The password must be 8-13 character long with atleast one character of the upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special categories.
  • Mention all academic details and proceed to upload a latest scanned photograph of maximum 100 KB size.
  • A digital signature too has to be uploaded, provided it is less than 30 KB in size.
  • Preview all images and save the same.
  • Move on to make the payment for application.
