A state-level examination, the Kerala Engineering, Medical and Engineering Exam is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination or CEE Kerala annually. It is popularly referred to as KEAM.It offers scope for eligible candidates to study professional courses that range from agriculture to medical to engineering to even forestry. It is a highly popular examination and finds a huge number of takers every year. A number of seats are available across the many disciplines in the state colleges in Kerala.

Candidates willing to apply for KEAM 2017 must have the following qualifications as specified by the relevant authority-
Candidates who have passed 10+2 from HSE Board.
Candidates must be an Indian national or Person of Indian Origin or Overseas citizen of India.
Candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
He/she must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of taking KEAM for technology and agriculture courses. He/she must have had Biology as a main subject if interested to apply for medical courses via KEAM.
The University has reserved quotas for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes and physically handicapped candidates. For such candidates, the aggregate marks required at the graduate level-qualifying exam is 50 per cent.
Reserved quota candidates need to have scored 40 per cent in the qualifying examination. For Physically Handicapped candidates these marks stands at 45 per cent.
