CENTAC JET [Pondicherry Centralised Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test] 2019

Exam Description:

CENTAC or Centralised Admission Committee conducts admissions to first year BTech courses offered by colleges run by Government/Societies of the Government in the Union Territories of Puducherry. For candidates belonging to Puducherry, admissions are  done on the basis of Class 12 scores or any equivalent exam. However, for aspirants from other states and UTs, admissions are based on JEE Main scores.

CENTAC also conducts admissions for first year MBBS, BAMS, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPT, BSc (Nursing), BSc(MLT), BPharm, BA LLB, LLB, B.Sc(Agriculture) and BSc(Horticulture) programmes.

 Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Pondicherry will release the CENTAC 2019 application form in the first week of June. Applications will be available in an online mode until second week of June, 2019.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for CENTAC Admissions 2019:

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to register for CENTAC 2019.

Age Criteria: The lower age limit for BAMS is 17 Years (as on 1st October 2019).

The upper age limit for B.Tech is 21 years (as on 1st July 2019). There is three years relaxation for SC Candidates 

Qualification Criteria :

For B.Tech Course:
  • Qualifying Exam: Pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Qualify the 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics along with one of the given subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science.
  • Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).
  • Attempts: For SC, three attempts application & for other, only two attempts.
For B.Pharm Course:
  • Qualifying Exam: Qualify the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics & Chemistry along with one of the given subjects: Mathematics /Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science.
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).
  • Attempts: There are no attempt limits for B.Pharma.
For BAMS(Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) Course:
  • Qualifying Exam: Pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Qualify the above exam with Physics, Biology, Chemistry & English subjects individually.
  • Minimum Marks: Obtain at least 50% marks (For GEN), 40% marks (For SC/ST/OPH) & 45% marks (For OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/OPH (GEN & OBC).
  • Attempts: Only one attempt limit.
For BDS and MBBS
  • Qualifying Exam: Qualify the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Bio-Technology, Zoology, Botany and English individually.
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 50% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).\
  • Entrance Exam: Based on the rank secured in NEET 2019
  • Attempts: There are no attempt limits for BDS and MBBS
For B.Sc. (MLT)
  • Qualifying Exam: Qualify the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 50% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).
  • Attempts: There are no attempt limits for this course.
 For B.Sc. (Nursing)
  • Qualifying Exam: Qualify the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 50 %marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).
  • Attempts: There are no attempt limits for B.Sc.(Nursing)

Syllabus

Candidate appearing for the CENTAC JET entrance test have to prepare in the following grounds - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany).

However, candidates will prepare in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred filed.
