About AP PGECET 2017 Exam:

Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test is a well-known entrance test for admission to post graduation Engineering /Pharmacy(M.E/M.Tech/M.Pharm/Graduate level Pharm-D) courses in Universities and its affiliated colleges across the Andhra Pradesh state for the academic year 2017-2018.JNTU-Kakinada will announce the AP PGECET 2017 Notification in 1st week of March 2017.So eligible candidates those who are interested may apply online only.
It is held for providing admission to the aspirants seeking for M.Tech, M.Pharma(regular courses) in the field of Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy. It is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of A.P.
AP PGECET 2017  is a state level test conducted under the authority of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) on behalf of A.P State Council of Higher Education(APSCHE)
The candidates who appeared for GATE/GPAT need not appear for this test as they are admitted based on their GATE/GPAT scoring.

Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for AP PGECET 2017:

It is necessary for all the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authority.

AP PGECET 2017 eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates should have Indian Nationality.
  • Candidates must have the Andhra Pradesh domicile certificate. Candidates must satisfy the local/non-local status requirements.
  • Candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in the respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case candidate belonging to reserved category of SC/ST candidates).
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination as B.Pharma from the recognized University with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST category candidates).
  • Candidates who have appeared for GATE are not eligible to appear for this exam.
  • Applicant must be the Indian citizen.
  • Candidates should have the domicile certificate of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination as B.E./B.Tech from the recognized University with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category candidates).
